Understanding client organizational structures is critical to the integrator’s sales and consulting process, and the sales team needed a simple yet powerful solution to build customer org charts and capture client contact data. These org charts had to be easy to update and flexible enough to use for prospecting, account planning, and project management.
The integrator’s sales leader tried building customer org charts using traditional tools like PowerPoint and Visio but found them cumbersome to use. Manually inputting data was a painstaking process, and the completed org charts didn’t have a professional appearance.
The sales leader also dealt with several large clients and often had to capture significant numbers (sometimes hundreds) of client contacts in his org charts. He needed a solution that could easily scale to accommodate that requirement.
