Overview

The Ratehub Human Resources team needed an org chart solution that was simple to use and provided intuitive, easy-to-understand org charts. Along with basic employee information, the Ratehub team needed space to include each employee’s accountabilities, which were frequently updated by the employee’s manager.

Business Challenge

Prior to Organimi, the Ratehub HR team built org charts manually using various office productivity tools. These charts took significant time to create, and updating them was an ongoing, time-consuming task.

Once completed, the org charts were sometimes difficult to interpret and couldn’t accommodate all the secondary information — including accountabilities — that the HR team wished to include. This limited the charts’ usefulness as proactive management tools.

Ratehub needed a solution that could not only capture accountabilities but allow individual managers to populate that information into the org charts. This would speed the update process and reduce the HR team’s administrative burden.
Finally, HR needed to ensure that stakeholders had easy access to the most current org chart information. Ratehub’s legacy solution involved distributing org charts manually, and users sometimes found themselves with incomplete or outdated data.

Solution

The Ratehub team discovered Organimi through a Google search. “We needed org charts that were attractive, easy to understand, and had room to show accountabilities and other information,” says Karina Nalbandyan, Ratehub’s HR Manager. “Organimi met all our requirements.”

Nalbandyan and her team found Organimi easy to implement, learn, and scale as Ratehub grew. They also appreciated Organimi’s powerful, flexible updating features. “I really like the ability to drag employees from one department to another in the Organimi tool,” says Nalbandyan.

Ensuring users had access to the most current org charts was also simple using Organimi’s cloud-based sharing capabilities. And, by distributing editing rights, individual managers could keep their employee accountabilities up to date. “We’re able to share updated org charts quickly, with just a link,” explains Nalbandyan. “It also saves time and effort when managers can update their own employee information.”
