Overview

For Cyara, a global leader in CX platform testing, improving the customer experience is everything. As Cyara experienced explosive growth, its organizational structure quickly evolved, and constant role changes became the norm.

As a result, Cyara found it difficult to maintain current org charts, and internal stakeholders and customers were often confused about the organization. Faced with this challenge, Cyara reached out to Organimi.

Business Challenge

Like many early-stage, high growth companies, Cyara was expanding quickly, with personnel stretched out across the globe and in larger centers in Melbourne, Australia, and Silicon Valley.

This rapid growth made maintaining up-to-date org charts a complicated, time-consuming task. With new departments forming and full-time and contract resources coming onboard, outdated org charts made it difficult to evaluate the real-time status of the organization. In some cases, even identifying and contacting appropriate personnel was a challenge.

Managers and team members also had difficulty in understanding and streamlining their reporting relationships. In once instance, a new senior executive was surprised to learn he had 70 direct reports!

These org charts were static, difficult to update, and a challenge to share with the appropriate stakeholders. “Using PowerPoint and other presentation tools for our org charts was a nightmare,” says Cassidy.

Solution

By leveraging Organimi’s broad range of role types and layout options, Cassidy quickly created accurate org charts for the entire company. She was also able to easily add additional information such as photos and external links to apps such as LinkedIn.

Using Organimi’s SmartChart™ features, Cassidy customized each org chart with a broad range of data, links, and other information — simply by attaching the information to individual profiles.

She also created a SmartChart Legend (a feature unique to Organimi) to identify contractors and new hires, allowing internal stakeholders to keep track of changes using simple visual symbols.

Updating the org charts was as simple as making changes to a central CSV file and refreshing the system. Finally, Cassidy was able to use Organimi’s powerful sharing capabilities to distribute updated org charts in real-time throughout the company, and alert the entire team to ongoing personnel changes.

As Cyara implemented the new system, Cassidy found that Organimi had all the features she was looking for and more. “When I compared Organimi to other solutions, the competitors had a few of the features, but Organimi had everything,” says Cassidy.
