Business Challenge

“We needed an effective way for business leaders to visualize and understand their organizations,” says Assetive founder Alain Van Loo. “And to easily make changes for exploring ‘what if’ scenarios.”

Van Loo found creating org charts with traditional tools like Powerpoint time-consuming and inflexible. Making changes to those charts was slow, difficult, and proved ineffective in the client planning process.

Legacy org charts were also limited in the information they could incorporate. “Including information from LinkedIn and other sources is extremely valuable for external stakeholders and potential investors,” explains Van Loo. “That wasn’t possible with Powerpoint or other non-dedicated org chart tools.”

“We needed an org chart tool that would eliminate much of the manual work and help us move faster,” says Van Loo. “With Powerpoint, it felt like we were recreating the wheel much of the time.”

Solution

In search of a better org chart solution, Van Loo found Organimi through a Google search.
